How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com is the property of John Ondrasik and is administrated by John and the Five For Fighting management team at Jim Grant Management.

Candiace, I have to leave a comment for you now, I have watched this video a couple times already, and when I see someone debating you, I have to defend you, and stand in your corner. You see I to was a foster child, and I was treated very poorly in foster care. I never had the love and support I needed to survive. I am glad you brought this up. Thank you.

Ginny, I guess where ever it is that you work at is a very peaceful place. Becuase here in the real world where foster children live it is not as peaceful as you say. There are more children in foster homes that die than there are with there real paretns. I am not saying all foster homes are bad but the majority are. I had a great foster family. But i also had bad ones. and YES THEY DO abuse and neglect there foster children. I do agree that you do need more child welfare caseworkers becuase the ones that they have know DO NOt do there job!!!! Did you miss the last clip of the video? See people this is what cracks me up about the states and the so called "childrens angels" they have to defend themselves no matter how much the children are hurting!

I found this a little confusing. I have been in the child welfare field for 19 years and have found that the majority of foster parents are loving, selfless people who really want to do something good for a children. Keep in mind that 98% of foster families DO NOT abuse or neglect the children in their homes. Say and cheer and a prayer for them. While you are at it, convince your legislature to increase funding for child welfare so that caseworkers can adequately assess, evaluate, and monitor foster families. Maybe if we had enough people to do the job, that small percentage wouldn't slip through the cracks.

I cried while watching this video, on the 14th "Gotcha Day" since my husband and I adopted our precious daughter. We are so fortunate to have her!! I pray that every child could find a family to give them the love they deserve, all children are a gift from God!!!

because the staes just dont care. They rather collect there money for foster children than to care about the children and what happens to them when they put them in the homes they have licensed"fit" to have children. They are better of with there parents!!!!

The last graphic made me burst into huge sobs. It is MUCH worse than I had been fearing for these kids my entire life. Why hasn't there been more publicity about this problem of foster children being raped?

kayle, thank you for your heart full words. It is sad. I could not believe the chart to. It took me back when i saw it. I knew it happens but not that much! 0-3. Know that is sick. And what is sad is they keep takeing children away from there parents and sticking them in foster homes and they are worst there then they were at home! did you know that within the past 6 years 5,253 foster children have dies in one state alone due to abuse from the foster parent? sad.

Candiace in a world of Angelina Joelie, and Maddonna, it is so nice to see that someone like you is not doing this project for flash or media news, but just to let people get a glimpse of the harsh reality of foster Kids. The chart at the end was so sad. thank you for letting me see the truth.

Cadiace, i to have been touched by your video. it is sad to see how many children do not have families. i can not say that i know of this first hand because i grew up with a very supportive and carrying family. but what i can say is that a photo speaks a thousand words, and with yours you have spoken many more then that.
