How This Works
For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.
For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

Hi..I have a brother that was diagnosed with Autism at the age of 5. He was also developmentally on track till he hit a certain age. Your boys are wonderful, and there is hope that they can lead and live normal functioning lives.

my mom works with autistic children everyday and everyday she comes home with a new story about one of her students. most of the teachers that work with these kids see a break through everyday, whether it's a glance into the teachers eyes instead of the floor or a big hug from a child that never let u touch them before. i will have ur family in my prayers. i want to help all i can b/c the more people that see the problem will believe the problem, thus helping others to cope with the problem.

what a touching story! as the parent of a child that had to fight uc for the first 4 yrs of her life i can understand, what it is to want the best for your child. Its horrible that youve had to spend all of your savings, i had done that as well, and no people will not always understand but i found that rather than get angry it was my job to make them understand and i did get somewhere with most others were just too ignorant so i ignored their remarks, etc. i wish you well you are in my prayers and i will never forget your 2 angels!

Your story and video were just incredible. I find it a travesty that as a member of the military your family was forced to use savings to help your children. God bless you and keep you and make His light shine upon you.

I also have a child with Autism. He is now 18 years old, a straight "B" student in regular classes in his Jr. year of high school. And holds down a part time job at our local grocery store.
After 16 months old, he did not speak until age 5. So I TOTALLY understand!
And I can't stress enough how important early intervention is to these kids...
The Columbus Speech and Hearing Center here in Columbus Ohio is top notch!
Thanks to these folks I could never had made it this far!
But never teach your kids they have a handicap.. Because if you do, that's the effort they portray in this world.
Don't feel sorry for them, teach them to have compassion for others!
Goals can be obtained.. just keep reaching for the stars!

The number of our nation's families struggling, as you are, is rapidly increasing. Autism has become a public health-crisis of epidemic proportions, just ask the C.D.C. If every family affected by autism (along with their grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins & friends) became involved in advocacy for the rights of those living with autism: Research would accelerate because the money to fund it would increase, thus improving earlier diagnosis & precise therapies (even in public schools!), and State by state, lawmakers would recognize this crucial need in our nation & wake up to the discrimination against autism by many insurance companies. We can change the world...never give up, never give in!
