How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com is the property of John Ondrasik and is administrated by John and the Five For Fighting management team at Jim Grant Management.

This sweet video brought tears to my eyes. Even though Caps for a Cause was a one time event anyone can continue this by taking hats to a hospital near you who needs them. Check with nursery staff and NICI staff and find out if hats are needed, then teach the children. They are our future and they are coming to this world with great talents and compassion in their hearts... it just needs to be channeled into good projects. http://www.bevscountrycottage.com/teach-knit.html BevQ

That was simply wonderful. I have two "tiny" preemie cousins who are wonderfully healthy, strong girls and each has a special box storing a very special hat each received in the NICU ward - maybe not one of your hats but it was made by someone with an incredible amount of love in their heart and gifted fingers... Thank you for your generous work.

Hey Everyone! My name is Sarah, and I was one of the students featured in the video. My sister, my best friend, and myself were invited to attend a Save the Children event in Washington, DC. I want to thank everyone who clicked on this link, for you are truly helping save lives. Ninety-nine percent of newborn death rates are in developing countries where basic resources, like caps, are not often available to infants. With your help, we can save the lives of many children, all over the world. I belong to the organization called Stitch for a Cause at Kentucky Country Day. If you would be interested in learning more about helping us, please click on the following link: http://ww2.kcd.org/staff/stringfellow/stitchforacause/ Once again, thank you. I hope that we can all change the world. <X:-) Sarah

I am one of those students in Stitch for a Cause too, and I was invited to Washington DC with my two fellow knitters to represent (we're in the video). This group at KCD has really united our entire school, and lots of people are joining the fight against the preventable disaster. It has certainly changed my life, and I am so grateful for Mrs. Stringfellow teaching me and opening my eyes to what I can do! The video is amazing too! Great job, and thanks for letting me take part! <3 LRW

I can imagine that now our world has a chance. We are teaching our "next" generations how to care for life on this planet one drop in the bucket at a time. I am so proud of these kids, and my neice, I could bust.

Yeah, it was fun to make the hats. It was funny, beacuse the day we started making them, we had a latin test. When we finished we were just sitting there, in our desks, and someone pulled out their hat and started knitting. Soon we were all knitting. Erin S and I were laughing thinking of us all knitting together when we got older. Even alot of the boys joined in!

Well done, you! It's a wonderfully moving video and sums up, just perfectly, the Caps to the Capital Campaign. We here at Save the Children thank you again and again. All our best! Jane Berliner, Director, Voices for Children www.savethechildren.org

I was the lucky recipient of a quilt made by these talented and caring kids at KCD last year. What a wonderful thing to do for others! Undergoing chemo you don't realize how much heat you lose through your head. I wore a knitted or crocheted cap every day to keep me warm. And in addition, used the beautiful quilt to keep warm while at home. What you do does change the world! Keep up the great work.

As a student at Kentucky Country Day School, it feels wonderful to know that you could be saving a newborn's life. I knit only 2 caps but still, that's two more babies that could be saved.

Thank you, Lisa, for teaching young people to have compassion -- and that making a difference in someone's life can be fun! What an amazing life lesson for the students (and teachers and parents!) and such an incredible gift for the babies and mothers who receive the hats. Keep those needles going...
