How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

Thank you for sharing Tyler's story! He is a beautiful child, and I know that with parents like you and your husband, as well as the support and love of those around him, he will continue to make huge leaps in life!

My twins were diagnosed with autism just weeks after turning 2. Our home and lives looked a lot like yours, including the younger sibling, early intervention, signs everywhere, aides and yes – diapers right up until 6. Now at age 10, they are thriving in a regular classroom, have excellent grades in school and will hopefully not need their shared aide next year, and perhaps best of all – they have friends. Thank you for your powerful message of struggle and of hope. Excellent film.

This was a great video. I do not have a child with autism, but I do work with children with autism. You are so right that early intervention is key. Family is also. God Bless you all, its good to see in the video what progress you son is making

A glimmer of hope for you! My son didn't speak 6 months ago and now talks like a 3 1/2yr old (he's 5, autistic). He still had a diaper at 4 yr 3 mths, was potty trained in 3 weeks once he understood the words about potty training...Used to run away, still escapes but doesn't run anymore and he actually respects rules. All this once he figured out communication...There is light at the end of the tunnel!

I think everyone has echoed what I would say. As a Mom to a 2.5 yr old autistic son, I say Thank You! My son was diagnosed at 18 months and the ball got rolling from there. He is already speaking up to 10 words, and a couple of days ago it was "Mommy"!!! Early intervention is definitely a key. Again, Thank You!

My son is 5 and was diaganosed with Autisim when he was 2 and a 1/2. The video touched me very deeply especially when you spoke of his aids as his only friends and where Autism only strikes once, because that is exactly how I feel. We have not had a second child but are hoping to sometime in the future. I have let many friends, family and my son's team know about the video because it meant so much to me. Dawn is my son's teacher this year & she sent it to me. PS the Nickleback song was good before I watched Tyler's video and now it sounds even better. Thank you Tyler. Leanne.

My son Liam is autistic too we have him in a great school up here in Traverse City Mi it was great wacthing Tylers story my son does the same things as Tyler. I blame my son's autism on the immunization shots it's kinda funny how not one single omish kid has autism because they do not give there kids immunization shots. I wish you and your family the best and stay strong like Tyler take care

I love your video... it give me hope! My son, Chris, was diangosted with an autism spectrum disorder in August 2005 when he was 2 years old. He started speech therapy and occupational therapy within a month after being diagnosed. I spent much of the first year learning all I could about autism. Chris will be 4 in August. He is starting to say a few words, like banana, baby, and bye-bye. He's trying to say other words, but these three words are the clearest. Tyler is adorable and he looks very happy! Your hard work is really paying off!

This is beautiful and I relate very strongly. My son Ryan is almost 3 1/2 today is the last day of his first school year. I never thought my 3 year old would be in school, but it has been so wonderful to see him blossom. I pray that your son will continue to astound you as he grows up.
