How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com is the property of John Ondrasik and is administrated by John and the Five For Fighting management team at Jim Grant Management.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com has no paid staff or personnel.

My father was diagosed with ALS in 1979. He retired from work not to enjoy life but to face the end of it. He died in 1981. To see a person larger than life be completely consumed by this hideous disease has been the most disturbing event of my entire life. I cannot imagine what my dad must have gone through. I pray every day there is a cure and I hope Augie benefits from the research. My heartfelt and sincerest wish for Augie to be cured is foremost on my mind.

My father was diagnoses with ALS in 1986, when he was 36 years old. He lived until 1993 and died at age 43. Most of my childhood was spent watching my father's disease progress. It is horrible. Thank you, Augie, for doing everything you are to find a cure. As you and my dad show, this disease doesn't just happen to old people.

My sister, Mary Ellen Houtchens, lived with ALS for 15 years. Each day she reminded me there is joy in living and that God is faithful. Augie, may you know God's great love for you and see His work on your behalf as you live with ALS. Blessings to MDA for their commitment to research, education, and support of those touched by neurological disease.

ALS is the worst disease I have ever seen. My Mom was dx in June 2005 and has progressed so fast. I pray for a miracle. This disease has shown eveyone around her that we all have an awful lot to live for. Thank you and your wife for the dedication to finding a cure. May God bless you and your family though the difficult time. It is amazing the strength He gives.

What a wonderful thing it would be to cure ALS, many peoples lives are cut short by this dreadful disease. My history teacher from high school, Foster B. Granger, died several years ago from the disease, so this is too late for him, but I miss him, he was an inspiration for me to stay in school, and succeed in life, to live life. He communicated with me up to end. It must have taken him hours to write the letters he wrote to me, and I'll always remember him. I named my first born son after him in his honor. He seemed such a healthy man all his life, and then ALS took him down. Hopefully, soon, ALS will NOT take anymore down. What a great day that will be!

my younger sister was diagnosed in 2005, she showed symptoms alot earlier than that. she's not 48 yet, a mom of 2 and granmother of 4. she doesn't show the down side, she's always glad to have 1 more day. our parents on the other hand are devastated to see thier "baby" ill and can't stop it.my sister gives us the strength to go on and accept what we can't change and spend the time with her we can and not regret anything.

I thought you might like this book. It's called "Tough Minded Faith For Tender Hearted People". It's a motivation book that shows that nothing is impossible if we have faith. Sincerely, Jeff Ferrario

Thank you for being the face of ALS and its cure. We lost my Dad, Juvencio V. Lopez, on Feb 2, 2007 to ALS and I have struggled with how I wanted to support the search for the cure until I received your book, "Augie's Quest" as a Christmas gift. You have given me hope that others will not travel the ALS road alone and the light will brighten at the end of the tunnel, sooner than later. I know your journey and that of your faimily is tough, but know you have thousands, just like me, supporting you.

Augie my brother Keith Wilson has ALS. We have always been so close and I love him so very much. I wake up everday and ask God to give my brother peace... peace (no heartache, no anxiety, no pain.) God Bless all of you that have lost loved ones or are struggling with ALS. May God give you peace everyday. Karen Stone

Thank you for what you are doing to bring awareness. Your tears and joy are joined by all of us in the ALS community.
