How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com is the property of John Ondrasik and is administrated by John and the Five For Fighting management team at Jim Grant Management.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com has no paid staff or personnel.

Dear Augie, I am so grateful for your efforts. Together we can win the war against ALS. Our family has Familial ALS and we have lost my grandfather and two of my aunts. Those of us who remain cry out for the cure. To date none of us left have been afflicted. Before that day comes I pray for the cure. God Bless You Augie. HE has put you here for a reason and given you this task. HE holds us all in HIS hand. Dena

Augie, I have watched your video many times, and have shared it with many others. It brings me to tears every time. I wish there was something I could say, or due to help you and you family. My family is going through the same heartache. My mom is fighting this disease as well. If only someone could help her to have the mental strength to help her through this. She is so angry and sad and scared, I am consumed with thinking of her, and how to ease her sadness. I am so encouraged by your drive and determination on beating this horrible disease. You are truly a wonderful person to be thinking of other people {and not just yourself} by sharing your journey in finding a cure. I hope you know how truly inspirational you are! Thank you for that! I can only hope and pray that you, my mom, and so many other people can have the inner strength to have many years ahead of you. I really can't thank you enough!!

I noticed that the "views" hasn't changed in the last month. Do we know when this is recalculated? thanks for all those people that are helping funraise money by watching the video and letting others know about it. als gets $1 for each time it is viewed. I hope it is not a scam because we have HOPE. Let others know of this!!

Augie: Words could never express the gratitude to you for all that you have done in the fight against ALS. You are the inspiration that those of us whose lives have been affected by ALS have been hoping and praying for. Thank you for using your powerful voice for all of us...you are a hero to the ALS community. Like you said before...ALS may be called "Lou Gehrig's Disease" but it will soon become "Augie Nieto's Cure". God Bless You!!! With love and appreciation, Laura

This is one of most powerful, beautiful, and meaningful videos I have had the blessing to view. We should play it over and over to raise money. I pray for every single person affected with ALS and for their loved ones. Many thanks to Five for Fighting for lending their most beautiful song. I remember reading about Augie a year ago in the Wall Street Journal. I continue to be moved and inspired, and I wonder why I ever find anything in my own life to be hard to bear.

I have a great cousin who has ALS. I have learned a lot from him and value his friendship. I hope a cure is found soon. God Bless.

Thank you for being so diligent in the fight to defeat ALS. My mother (my best friend) and grandmother to our 4 children was recently diagnosed with this terrible disease which is seriously affecting her speech. I so desperately miss our long chats. I am not sure what the future holds for our world with this disease in it but with every small step and persistence maybe one day lives will be saved because of people like you doing something about it. We need so desperately to find a cure. I was not only shocked my the news that day of her diagnosis but disheartened (angry) that with this world of enormous intelligence that there was no cure or significant treatment for ALS. I pray for your family and all other families affected by this disease. I love my mother. Karen K, Indiana

Augie is without a doubt my hero. Watching he and his wife in interviews has got to be the most inspirational thing in the world. He has the power to give everyone hope and strength to overcome and beat this awful disease. As a program coordinator for MDA, Thank You Augie and John for your amazing efforts and giving me something wonderful to work for everyday!

Wow! Powerful and positive message! My younger brother Andrew has ALS and it's been a really tough ride for him and all of us that love him so deeply. But, the human spirit is amazing, especially when guided by the Holy Spirit...God has blessed my brother in SO many ways! May God Bless everyone that is touched by this disease, as we continue to have HOPE and never lose Faith!
