How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

Hi Grammy Pammy, thanks for the kind words, and here are the words for the song. Chains also thanks for the kind words, your father is a great man! Tus the night before Christmas he lived all alone. In a one-bedroom house made of plaster and stone. I had come down the chimney with presents to give. And to see just who in this dwelling did live. I looked all around, strange sight to see. No tinsel no presents, not even a tree No stocking on the mantle just boots filled with sand. On the wall hung pictures of far distant lands. Metals badges awards of every kind. A sobering thought came alive in my mind. This house was different, it was dark it was dreary, I had found a home of a solider I could see that most clearly. The soldier lay sleeping silent alone, Curled up on the floor in this one bedroom home. His face was so gentle the room in such disorder, Not at all how a pictured a United states solider. Is this the hero whom I just read, Curled up on a poncho, a floor for a bed? Then I realized the other families that I saw this night, Owed their lives to soldiers willing to fight. Morning around the world children will play, Grown ups will celebrate a bright Christmas day. They all enjoy freedom each month of the year, Because of soldiers, like the one laying here. I couldn’t help but wonder how many lay alone On this cold Christmas Eve, from lands far from home. The very thought brought a tear to my eye, I dropped to my knees and started to cry. The soldier awakened I heard his rough voice. Santa don’t cry, this life is my choice. I fight for freedom I don’t ask for more. My life is my guard, my country, my core! The solider rolled over and drifted to sleep. But I couldn’t control it I continued to weep. I kept watch for hours, so silent and still As both of us shivered from the cold nights chill. I didn’t want to leave him on that cold dark night. This guardian of honor so willing to fight. Then the solider rolled over in a voice soft and pure He whispered. Carry on Santa it’s Christmas day. One look at my watch I knew he was right. My Christmas my friend may god bless you tonight

That was beautiful and very moving. My father is in the Navy and was sent to Middle east 9 times. I still don't realize the horrors of war. Thank you troops. God Bless You.
