How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

MY father in law survived 5 years after diagnosis of ALS, but his diagnosis was late--he had been having symptoms for a while. Your goal to make it to the children's graduation could be realistic! My father-in-law used a lot of alternative medicine and ate a holistic diet--really cleaned out the junk food & sugar, etc., so his five years with ALS were more pleasant for him since he got to meet three of his four grandchildren born during that time. We feel your struggle, personally, and hope this site raises lots of awareness & funds for the cause. God Bless You All!!

Eric, thanks for telling your story. You have an awesome attitude. You make me think of how blessed I am with full use of my body. The simple everyday tasks are a total challenge for you and then there are some you totally depend on the folks around you. I have witnessed your story through my nephew. I was just up in NY last weekend and visited. He was diagnosed with ALS just about the same time as you. The incredible similarity with you guys (Augie too) is your attitudes! I want to be around you, there are perfectly healthy people that need a day with you guys to get grounded. Your positive nature, your determination to adapt to the next challenge, your openness - the it's not about what ALS is taking away - it's about what it can't take away - your spirit. Have a great day and enjoy the Graduations and make another memory for all of us today!

Eric, You are an inspiration in the hope for a cure for this devastating disease. My husband was diagnosed with ALS in April, 2005. It has changed our lives dramatically!! Everyone we have met through the ALS Assn. and MDA Support groups are inspirational in fund raising for research to find a cure that is way overdue. We applaud Augie for everything he and his wife are doing also. Please take care of yourself and don't give up hope for a CURE. Caringly, Diana
