How This Works
For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.
For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

I am blessed to be the mom of a wonderful little 6 year old boy with autism. It is upsetting to not find help...but there is hope. We found our hope through the Son-rise program. It is a program that we do at home, the parents are the trainned. I no longer have to wait someone else to make a differance, I can make the differance in my son's life. We no longer live in fear for what his future will look like, We,mom and dad, are working with him and able to love and live a fuller life because of him. Your little girl is beautiful and full of hope! Best wishes from one mom to another!

My grandson, now 10, has Aspergers and it has been
sad to see him wonder why he is different. Thanks to his parents and their relentless efforts, Matt is doing well in school and making friends. Matt requested his teacher give a talk to his grade 5 class about Asbergers and why he acts differently at times, particularly when stressed.
He feels happier that his condition has a name to the other students and is more comfortable
in his class now.

My 12 year old grandson was diagnosed at 2 yrs. Insurance did not cover it but we proceeded forward. My daughter-in-law read every book out (which wasn't a lot then) and talked to everyone she could and we all researched it on the internet.
My grandson had Behavior Mod for hours daily in his home with his mom & 2 teenage girls that was taught the method. After a few months he was put on the g/f-c/f diet which helped tremendously. He was on it about 3 years. He also went to Speech Therapy & Sensory Intergration three times weekly.
We turned all of this over to God to direct us. Yes, we had to do the footwork, but without Him we had no direction.
Praise God, today he is a normal, social, wonderful young man of almost 13 that is so kind and considerate of others.
Don't let anyone or anything stop you on your quest to heal your child. Ask God for direction and GO forward. Time is of the essence. Love for your child will get you through it.

your daughter is very beautiful. i am sorry that the insurance wont cover to help her. you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. People really dont understand how bad autism really is. We need to help! help to educate those who dont understand. we need to fight for the rights for our children to survive. My man problem is couldnt we as americans take time away from useless things to help to fight autism. i wish you and your daughter the best of luck. and god bless you!

OK, I know nothing about AUTISM however, and this may seem a really stuipd question, can these people learn sign language? My daughter works with many adults with AUTISM and they seem to have an imagination of a young child. Sometimes, to them they are being humorous and sometimes they are. My point being, for the most part they seem to be "locked" inside themselves but they do have a thought process. Perhsps some people may have the ability to learn sign language.

I AGREE THAT IT IS SAD TO SEE THAT IN COUNTRIES WHERE THERE IS TOO MUCH TOO EAT AND TOO MUCH TO WASTE THAT THERE IS NOT ENOUGH FUNDS TO SUPPORT AUTISM RESEARCH AND THERAPY.
WE MUST ELECT OUR POLITICAL LEADERS WISELY

I am deeply concerned for these children, what keeps coming back to my mind is, not the lack of resources for autism, but why are there so many children with autism? something is wrong with our environment or our water or something, we are being poisoned & need to find what is doing this damage, & I hate to sound like some paranoid conspiracy thereist, but i believe the answer is known by our govt. but is being kept in the shadow for some others greed.

Heartbreaking to realize a beautiful, wonderful child must suffer silently. In a country where the majority eat too much and have too much, we should be able to solve this problem.

How heartbreaking to see those with out help. My daughter was diagnosed at 24 months. She received 20 hours of therapy and is an example of how important early intervention is. I pray for all the families who struggle with insurance companies and what is the next step. Bravo to all your hard work. Prayers to the children with out words- may we help them.

We too have a son who is autistic and we were told in 1999 to consider an institution for Joey as he would never have friends, never speak, never know love.... He is 11 yrs and because of the love, patience and determination to help him he inspired in all who met him he is a 5th grader and loved by the community at large. I know of the insurance difficulties, the education difficulties, the day to day ups and downs but every single one is worth it. Joey has 2 older sisters who would fight for him at the drop of a hat. I just wish the strangers were as kind.

If we only understood why this happens to our precious children! That's why we need to continue to dedicate ourselves to causes like this one-to find a cause and create a cure (or at least a preventative).
