How This Works
For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.
For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

Great video! Some of my friends have autistic relatives in their families. Placing an entry on here seems a little bit too easy to help, but I hope it does! Let's keep fighting for their freedom! Everyone deserves the same chances of having a good life. People need to be more educated on Autism.

I am an Aunt of a nephew with autism..He is the most adorable and brilliant young man I know.
I do not see this as a handicap. He has a very bright future ahead of him. He has a wonderful support system in his parents. Keep up the good work!

I am a Dad of a autistic boy he is 12 now verry sad video he is just like that little girl. We dealt with that when he was 2 still dealling with everything. It seems like We are still in the same place as a society. Nothing has changed accept more kids getting Autism. I know we all need to be positive but no one really understands. Unless you have a child who has severe autism there is a large diffrence. A child that is blind a child that is deaf a child that cant walk I am not saying that is less disable then my child It is just a huge diffrence.Autism needs that attention NOW. I am sorry but ten years ago they were saying the same things I dont care what any one says that is a fact. There is people out there that know what I am talking about. I hope we dont give new parents the fake hope that people tried to give us.If we are going to do somthing as a society we need to do it now!!!

I am a single mother taking care of 2 children ages 4 and 3. My 3 year old son has autism and it is a struggle. Everything in this clip made me think of him. I started to cry to think that my son is able to get the help he needs but like Claudia and other children they have to sit and wait the 2 years or however long it maybe to get the help they need. It is not right. I want my child to be respected like any other child his age and this video shows me that there are people out there that are trying to make a difference. And for that I thank you. Again this video was very touching and emotional.

PATTY_ THANK YOU!!!
I'm usually unable to respond to posts as often as I'd like, but had to THANK YOU for posting this not only for us, but all people who may be reading this information this site. We have been seeign a DAN! doctor for several months and have seen amazing results. My husband attended the DAN! conference a few months ago and it really is incredible. Our daughter definitely has a "Leaky gut" and her mind was literally in a fog prior to the diet change. Removing the dairy for her was like taking her off of morphine! She is engaged, happy and bowels normal! THANK YOU for taking the time to post this information. She's on about 16 supplements and vitamins, B-12 shots, and I'm trying to get that urine specimen for the test to send to France right now. How to obtain first AM urine from one in a diaper who is always awake before us??? :-) Anyway, not to take away from the therapy...we are paying out of pocket for 20 hours of ABA per week and we work with her at home ourselves as well. She is also involved in the Early Childhood program thru the school and gets some Speech and Occupational therapy now as well. Thank God her mind is actually cleared enough now to "take in" this information. It's a miracle! She was truly nearly lethargic most of the time, sitting in the corner playing with a leaf, blade of grass, or a screw on a toy for hours with her tongue hanging out of her mouth and she is a different, engaged, and most importantly, quite happy child now.
And I big THANK YOU to all of the other wonderful words of support from everyone else. We are fighting this like crazy in so many ways and are so proud to be a part of informing others and raising awareness to this epidemic. I would encourage everyone to visit www.TACAnow.org to learn more about the information I mention above. THANK YOU!!! CHARLOTTE BOLL_CLAUDIA"S MOM

There is a new French test, that is quite accurate, testing heavy metals, plastics, pesticides etc. (I'll include info on that at the bottom. )
There are many ways to test toxicity. One, is to give a dose of (fda approved since the 50's, and for children) DMSA , that provokes the metals and then collect urine for testing. You can do it through www.directlabs.com which is a "middle man" if you want to run the test and have no doctor to order for you. The tests are ran by either Metametrix or DoctorsData Labs.
As far as ADD/ADHD, these kids seem to hold metals, but aluminum is usually very high and their main issue. (magnesium malate will rid that)
We live in a very toxic world. These kids get too many vaccines and too much daily exposure. Most, have a compromised immune system and G.I. issues as well as neurological issues. Many, have really messed up amino acid levels as well as mineral and vit. Amino's make up our melotonin, serotonin, dopamine levels, which balance our sleep, mood and pleasure centers. (sound familiar?)
Up to the late 80's, Autism was 1 in 10,000. When my youngest grandson was DXed in '99, it had dropped to 1 in 500....it's now, 1 in 166 (CDC stats) You CAN'T have a genetic epidemic. ADD/ADHD, Asperger, asthma and allergies, have all risen during this time to alarming rates. The schools are going broke and don't have the facilities nor staff to deal with the influx of kids.
ALL these kids are being treated sucessfully, with biomedical/diet and for some, chelation.

A really great book, spectrum 101!!!, is "Children With Starving Brains", by J. McCandless, MD
www.amazon.com or www.barnesandnoble.com
There is another great book by Dr.Sidney Baker and Jon Pangborn (can't remember the name, but should come right up in search.
Diet, supplements, etc. do wonders for the kids.
I have one great nephew who is ADHD and I recommended that they just TRY magnesium, (and epsom salts baths) Omega 3 fatty acids (fish oil) both, in rather high doses along with b-12, folinic acid and he is a different child, just with that small change.
Milk and wheat, dyes and preservatives cause these kids tons of trouble. A simple diet can calm them right down. (about 85% of them)
Yes, they have neurological problems. The question becomes, why? I've seen too many kids recover to consider this voodoo or wishful thinking.
My older grandson who was toxic, is now an A/B student in his first year of college. It wouldn't have happened without intervention.
On the www.autism.com/ari site, you'll see "DAN" click on there and you'll see a list of dr's who are treating these kids bio-medically.

No doctors prescription required.
Get test by e-mailing lab. Test kit is free.
If you pay by credit card, write the info on a piece of paper.
Results are sent by e-mail and us mail.
My comments on shipping
Send it US priority mail. It is cheaper and easier. The lab said that the sample is stable for 15 days.
A non infectious urine sample does not require special treatment by the us post office. Fedex makes a big deal
about packaging customs etc. Also Don't use us mail/fedex 2 day service. I tried this and had sample returned.
We used this test on my son to see if we were done with chelation.
I got this info from the VP of National Autism. I hope it can help some people out there. I've also worked with children with Autism.

We chose to stop vaccinating our son at 9 months as my husband and I do believe there is a direct effect between vaccinations and autism. Let's fight for the pharmaceutical companies to stop pushing the shots!

I am thoroughly touched by this. I am an educator and know of the challenges and heartache that is attached to autism, but I was never aware that insurance won't cover therapy or medication related to autism. I now see why some parent's hands are tied when it comes to getting help. And I can't believe there is a waiting list for assistance! It's time to make all aware of this, not just parents that are affected and educators that need to know how to deal with it. It's time for our country to start supporting our children and families in need, not just brush them under the rug. It's time for our legislatures and government to see the need in finding cures for issues like this. We are talking about our future, and if they won't listen to our pleas, who will? Those children and families are in my heart.

I agree that Jody's formula may help.My choice is hydrated bentonite and suplemented with Alpha Lipoic Acid and L-cysteine both of which, or similar, as in the case of the L-cysteine are in Jody's formula. But major improvement with any poisoning which is what autism is is the bentonite.

First let me say that I was very hesitant to enter a comment here because I represent a product that could be beneficial to autism patients and didn’t want to be thought of as mercenary. But then having had a different kind of medical condition I thought that when I was looking for solutions I wouldn’t have cared where it came from if it helped. So with that thought in mind I share the following study and site reference for the product in hopes it helps. You can find the info at http://davelive.org

As a parent, if you have concerns for your child's attainment of developmental & communication milestones... DO NOT WAIT!!! Yes the child may grow out of it but they may not without assistance, so get some! Do research, the internet is a vast source of information and pointers. Talk with healthcare professionals. Seek information and assistance from your local family support & service providers and get professional evaluations. You do not have to go the route of a developmental pediatrician ('getting a lable stamped on your child', as one commenter wrote...) but, you can. The process is daunting ~~ stressful & scarey beyond words for parents (we love our children so we can't bare to think something may be wrong with them or that we cannot meet all of their needs) but it is so worth it to get help and to start as soon as possible. The young mind is so maliable. These little sponges can soak up so much and give it back in the most gratifying ways. You can make valuable impacts to the lives of the child with any form of delay as well as your own as parents!
My son, at 18 months was somewhat detached to outsiders & struggling to communicate in words. Fortunately, we got involved in Early Intervention before he turned two. On evaluation he qualified for services. He was testing positively on 4 of the 7 autism indicators from the MCHAT test. What a Godsend the therapies have been. He has been seen an hour weekly by both speech and occupational therapists ever since. On the 6-month re-eval, he is no longer scoring on the Autism spectrum!!! He is still considered language delayed but he has made great strides behaviorally and socially and his language skills improve daily. He will continue with Early Intervention services until he turns three this Spring. At that point, the local school district will continue serving his needs. The transition plan is already in motion.
I wish anyone who faces this situation or any like it, the courage and stregnth to work through it to the ends we have acheived. Opening the mind of a child is so gratifying and it is to the benefit of the child to do it! I have received the best gift, that of communication, nearing conversation with my son. I will ever work to unlock / unleash all of his potentials!!!! GODSPEED to the families of all of our children, they are our future!!!!!

I am an occupational therapist and work with children/adolescents with developmental disabilities- many of whom have autism.Although some don't have words, you'd be surprised what they truly do understand! My godson has autism and he has come so far. Had it not been for all the early intervention he received and his parents fighting for it he would not have received these services. I truly believe these services pushed him through the worst stages. He is an absolutely awesome, amazing, unconditionally loving and gentle little almost 5 year old. Keep fighting for the therapies these children need- I really believe they help. Anything to raise money for reaching a cure is woirth contributing to.

No parent should have to think about getting the healthcare they need for their child...we need universal coverage with early intervention...it is the right thing to do...
