How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com is the property of John Ondrasik and is administrated by John and the Five For Fighting management team at Jim Grant Management.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com has no paid staff or personnel.

WE NEED TO STAND UP AND FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM!!!!

Your mivie really touched my heart. I am an adult that was diagnosed with Autism spectrum disorder in my twenties. I have had challenges learning how to communicate with others. I have overcome many of these challenges. It has been shown that there is a link between vaccinations and autism. Please read some books about the vaccination myth, and how they can affect children. Bless you and your family.

The choice of white print on a tan background makes this nearly impossible for me to read.

I feel that these children are very special. We need more research!I am not sure if drugs are the answer. The side effects are sometimes worse than the aliment itself. A Superfood Juice that is helping some of these kids is MonaVie. This is helping some sleep better, focus, helping GI problems and has a calming effect. Please see www.monaviemoms.com on autism and e-mail me for more info at bndreamjeanie@aol.com In the mean time, knowledge is power. God bless.

I agree we need to do more about Autism and it starts with insurance companies and the gov't. We spend billions of dollars on other countries and yet when it comes to taking care of our own country our gov't doesn't seem to care about the little people, they are to busy lining their own pockets with money and giving tax breaks to companies polluting our environments. Let's stand up and tell them to stop cutting programs for people in the US who need help and stop spending our tax dollars to countries that hate us.

In 1983, My husband and I became guardians to a boy with autism. There were no programs for autism then. I read every book on autism and brain damaged children I could get my hands on, and then discovered that the first thing i needed to do was to get his attention. That was the most difficult thing to do. He did not respond to his name, and he was three. We trained him like a puppy, a swat with a wooden spoon on the diaper if he didn't come, a grape if he did. He was smart. He learned his name after just three swats, and five grapes. After that, he paid attention to me when I spoke his name. Parents can intervene. Become educated.

Why can't adults see the need? We have been allowed to live normally with dreams and wishes and yet so often we forget that it was pure luck that got us here. Let's stop needing a waiting list, let's give our grandchildren the attention and tools to have what we have NOW !

I am a principal of a small Christian primary school. Last year we enrolled a boy who had been diagnosed with receptive-responsive disorder. The public school could not do anything because he wasn't classified as autistic. We have a very strong phonics problem combined with caring, loving teachers who took time to help him. I addition his parents read to him daily. His progress by the end of the year was phenomenal. He continues to thrive and communicates very clearly and interacts with his classmates as any 6 year old. I pray that cases like his would be considered as part of the autism spectrum and covered by insurance so that they could receive therapy and the help they need.

I have viewed this video twenty times, each time I cry. I have a beautiful grandson. He is 3 and is not able to communicate basic needs. He was evaluated at the U of Michigan, and was not on the Autisum Spectrum, they said he was delayed in receptive and responsive speach. He is in an Early Childhood program for Developmentally Delayed, however the video hit so many things that reminds me so much of my grandson. We wait and hope he will reach the Milestones-we wait and hope he will be able to have a back and forth conversation with us. I feel he needs to be re-evaluated, his doctor said wait another year. I know in my gut that my grandson does fall on the Autisum Spectrum, and feel that he could be getting extra help, why wait a year. I pray that God will open his little mind and the thoughts and ideas start flowing-I pray and wait. My prayers are with everyone that have loved ones with special needs. I know I must give it to God, as it's too big for me. God Bless- jan brychta

I'm a mentor in an employment program for adults with developmental disabilities. One of my clients has autism. He is such a great man and I enjoy working with him very, very much. He has a fabulous sense of humor and is one of the most dependable workers in our program. He is very intelligent and has a great insight. Don't lose hope, but more importantly don't believe the "experts" and any authority figures when they fill your heads with ideas of flat futures.
