My name is Anna and I have been told that I could possibly have Asperger's Syndrome, an Autism Spectrum Disorder. I am twenty years old, making intensive therapies that start when a child is very young useless. I would give anything not to be broken.

I think a better way than forcing any company or forcing anyone is private charities. Americans have to stop relying on government to make things better, like more legislation. Government is only good at a few things, period, and it has nothing to do with which party is in charge. Government is the most inefective way. Getting the word out like this e-mail and ads for private citizens to donate will be much more effective I believe. There will be less red tape and rules and policies to get around and every dollar will go further towards the cause. It's a fact, charities have more money left over from every dollar donated to go towards the solution by far than any government involved solution. Good luck to you and I'll pray things get better as well.

What a beautiful song! I have a 9 year old who was diagnosed with autism when he was 5. Michael is an incredible person - smart, loving and really funny. I appreciate him so much. I believe strongly that his immunizations contributed to his becoming autistic. I am glad there is finally some interest in this at the CDC level because I am completely ill at the notion that we are forced to inject our children with neurological poisions and then the same insurance companies which pay for these injections won't pay to cover treatment for what can be such a severe disorder? I feel blessed that Michael's condition is not severe and he functions pretty well. I just can't help but wonder how much better he would function and would he have more life options when he is older if he never got vaccinated. I really don't know if he will be able to live completely on his own. That's a hard thing to take as a parent. Best wishes to all the other families out there like us.

I have been through this with my oldest son, only child out of four to have autism, the other three had ADD/ADHD. My struggles help me to help to get early treatment for three of my eleven grandchildren. All with different types of behavior and communication disfunctions. God blessed me with these children because they are so special and need lots of love and attention. I pray for others who have to go through these trials and tribulations.

My beautiful boy is currently being diagnosed. It is a hard disease. We have a fight ahead with no help. No answers. It is just crazy. I don't know what to do to help. I love him so and they just don't understand my beautiful boy! He is awesome. It took us 11 years to get this present from God and I am not going to give up on him. God gave him to me to take care of and I will! I will fight everyone for God and him. I love you Chris with all my heart and soul. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul... if that's so, then Claudia's soul is kind and pure because that's what is shining through from her beautiful eyes. I was never able to have children of my own, but I am a reading specialist in a primary school and have worked with, and loved, children with Autism or Asperger's. It is such a shame that the leaders of this wonderful country see fit to spend billions fighting an unjustified war, but can't figure out a way to insure children and families against issues facing Claudia's family today. We need to get with it and support what's really important!!
