How This Works

For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.

For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com is the property of John Ondrasik and is administrated by John and the Five For Fighting management team at Jim Grant Management.

whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com has no paid staff or personnel.

My father died from this horrible disease in August 2001, but lived with it for over 9 years. He was an inspiration to me, his strenghth was amazing and he made it his personal mission to get the word out about this and spent many many days in Dallas, Texas sharing his story with as many people. Be strong, your family and your children are in our prayers.

Chris and Reda are not only inspirational in their brave fight against ALS but in the manner in which they live their lives and raise their children. We are blessed to know Chris and Rita and pray not only for Chris' health but also for God's blessings on the entire Rice family.

The Rice family is such a source of inspiration to me personally. God is using them in such a powerful way to show that through faith in Him, we can handle all things. I am humbled by their strength and faith, and am so grateful to have their example in my life.

While Chris' wife conveyed how much of an inspiration he is to her, his fight has a much greater impact on the community he touches. As someone who has been around Chris for a few years, I can assure you his determination sets a standard we can only strive to achive. May God continue to work through Chris to bless all those he touches!

Chris and family, I know what God can do. I have just gone through a very stressful situation with my daughter. Things did not look good. But God said yes and he will for you too.

My father lived with ALS for five years after diagnosis. I will always be grateful to the ALS Associations, MDA and all of the people who dedicate their lives to helping PALS. Some day we will Strike Out ALS! Thanks for helping keep the hope alive!

My mother died from this horrible disease 8 days after diagnosis, at the age of 65. In Dec she was limping and by July she was gone. As the condition rapidly progressed, she saw doctor after doctor, and even had an unecessary surgery which, according to the ALS specialist, accelerated the disease. When she finally received her diagnosis, all she could think of was suicide! How terrible to have no hope. Terrible for her and for us, her family. I want to thank everyone who is taking the time to view this video and I especially want to thank John Ondrasik and Five For Fighting for this website. Please, anyone who is fighting ALS, there is hope.

Thank you for making this video. I don't know much about ALS - my children have other disabilities like autism. It's good to see that there are places and doctors to keep people like Chris.
