How This Works
For all donations, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com will distribute approximately 90% of money donated to the selected charities. This is determined primarily by the amount of views per charity and available funds. The 10% expense includes Revver.com's .01/view webhosting cost, California Community Foundation's 1.25% administrative expense and site maintenance. Contributions to the California Community Foundation represent irrevocable gifts subject to the legal and fiduciary control of the foundation's Board of Directors.
For videos which have received 30,000 or more views, whatkindofworlddoyouwant.com may elect to add a click through advertisement at the end of such videos to defray web hosting expenses. As our objective is to donate the most funds possible to our charities, this will eliminate substantial expenses incurred by revver's .01 per view charge on videos with millions of views.

We love you and we are grateful for your gift of music in our lives. We were able to attend the private concert 2 years ago at your friends house just north of Rochester, MN. It is one of our favorite memories in our lives. Thank you for this video, for helping with finding a cure for ALS, and for the hope you give to others.

I have been a fan since I first heard Walking on a Wire on the radio in Baltimore, many years ago. I love your music and never tire of listening to it. I think you both are inspiring. Can't wait to see you guys at the next performance. Love the video and I am passing it on. xoxo Charlotte

Not matter how many times I hear this, it brings tears to my eyes -- but this rendition, coupled with the many voices moves me deeper still. Eric, you are bigger than life – your music stirs life itself. Peace and love.

Your music has been with us since my husband and I began dating in 1987, when I was 17 and he was 20. We first saw you live at the Birchmere and we've been spreading your gospel ever since, to anyone and everyone who will listen. Although you don't know it, you've been with us through a long, wonderful journey of teenage angst, long-distance college love, success, disappointment, devotion, separation, illness, marriage, career upheavals, personal doubt, fulfillment, achievement, failure, death, and birth. You've helped me rock my firstborn to sleep, celebrate true friendships, and cope with loss. I'm only one of thousands whom you've touched so deeply with your gifts, and I only wish I had your poetry to express my gratitude. Thank you for the blessings you've brought -- and will always bring.

Isn't it amazing that a room full of people gathered in love sounds like a room full of angels, no matter if there are any of them who can carry a tune or not. Eric and Dan, you are amazing guys.... thanks for sharing your life - the good and bad with us.... Hope to see you soon... I love your music - you are in my cd player all the time. This was wonderful to watch and enjoy. Julie

You blew me away the first time I heard you and you still do today. Your music comes from the heart and touches all who hear you. Blessings to you and all those suffering from ALS.

I cannot express how much your music has been a part of my life. I have followed you both for a lot of years. I have seen you sing this song in concert many times and I have always know what it meant and was about, but I never really made the total connection until I say this video. Eric, I have been inspired by your courage and strength for many years. We all fight our daily battles and become overwhelmed with it, but watching this video reminds me that we have freinds and family that love and care about us. May God bless and keep you in his grace, and may you both have many, many years of music ahead of you. Thank you for all the years of music and inspiration that you have provided.

What a great video. After seeing Lowen and Navarro for the first time in years a few months ago it has made an awareness of ALS and Eric's journey that wasn't there before. He's pretty amazing, always seems positive and giving. It is an inspiration.

What a wonderful thing to keep us remembering that it's this kind of love, support and community portrayed here that we all need to give and receive on a daily basis. Kudos to Eric and Preston on a great song, and kudos to all the people who took part in this , and to John and Carla for providing the outlet and this site.

Eric: We are all blessed by your amazing song and voice. I am in awe of your courage and inspiration. It was so moving to hear you and see you again as well as Kathryn and the rest of the vocal gang. I am honored to have had the opportunity to have sung with you, and Kathryn, in the past and wish you many blessings and much love. My heart goes out to you, your family and friends.
Thank you for your healing music. You remain in my thoughts and prayers. Darlene Koldenhoven

Eric: You continue to inspire us with your music and lyrics. I am looking at my ticket stub from October 17, 1992 when you opened for your friends Material Issue at the College of DuPage in Illinois. Since even before then, your music has been touching my soul. Seeing you sing this song with such a wonderful choir of friends and family in aweinspiring. Thank you for sharing this with us. I look forward to seeing you in Chicago again later this year! God Bless. Peace
